Your Border-City Cannabis Store on 80 Avenue
Plantlife Cannabis Weed Dispensary Lloydminster is a licensed cannabis store on the Alberta side of the border city, on the 80 Avenue retail corridor. It carries flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, concentrates, oils, capsules, topicals and accessories, with online ordering for in-store pickup. It serves Lloydminster, Vermilion, Kitscoty and Marshall.
You’ll find us at 4215 80 Ave #101, right inside Brentwood Commons on the Alberta side of Lloydminster. We’re open 9 AM to 10 PM every day, and yes, the Alberta side matters here since cannabis retail runs province by province. This is a licensed Alberta store, straight up, and the team can walk you through exactly what that means if you’re crossing over from the Saskatchewan side.
Licensed by AGLC, licence number 780986. Valid government-issued ID required. 18+ only.
What We Carry at Lloydminster Plantlife
We carry the full network menu here, weighted for a catchment that mixes oil-and-agriculture regulars with a steady flow of Yellowhead travellers just passing through.
Flower
The wall runs indica, sativa and hybrid across every price point, from everyday big bags through craft eighths. Ask what came in fresh this week, or just ask which jar’s the best value that day.
Pre-Rolls
Singles for a quick grab, multi-packs for the week, infused options if you want more punch. Regulars tend to land on the multi-packs once they’ve done the math on value.
Vaporizers
510 cartridges, pods, and disposables across a range of potencies. Already own hardware? A cart and battery combo usually makes more sense. Starting fresh? A disposable means nothing to charge. Ask if you’re not sure which fits.
Edibles
Gummies, chocolates, baked goods, THC drinks, all within Health Canada’s limits. Onset takes longer and hits differently person to person, so the team walks you through timing and dosage before you commit.
Concentrates
Live resin, rosin, shatter, diamonds, hash, for people who already know their preferred style. The team can help narrow it down by texture and potency.
Oils, Capsules and Topicals
Measured, smoke-free options: oils, softgel capsules, topical creams and balms. Capsules and oils keep your dose consistent every time; topicals go straight on the skin, no inhaling involved.
Accessories
Grinders, papers, cones, batteries, glass, storage, whatever rounds out the trip.
Your Cannabis Store in Lloydminster, Alberta
We’re inside Brentwood Commons, right on the 80 Avenue retail corridor, alongside Home Depot, Canadian Tire, RONA, Best Buy, Sport Chek, HomeSense, Michaels and Mark’s. It’s the kind of stretch where a cannabis stop fits naturally into whatever else you’re already out doing.
Lloydminster itself is genuinely one of a kind: it’s one of only two cities in Canada split by a provincial border, the other being Flin Flon, Manitoba. The Alberta side alone is home to just under 20,000 people, part of a combined city of over 31,000. Because cannabis retail is regulated province by province, that border isn’t just trivia here, it’s exactly why we’re licensed specifically on the Alberta side, and our team can walk you through what that means if you’re coming over from Saskatchewan.
The border itself runs down Highway 17, known locally as 50 Avenue, and it’s marked in a way you can’t miss: four 4,100-foot markers stand at City Hall, among the largest border markers in the world, representing the region’s oil and gas, agriculture, Barr Colonist history, and First Nations and Metis heritage. Highway 16, the Yellowhead, crosses right through the middle of it all, carrying regional traffic in from every direction.
Lloydminster got its start in 1903, when about 2,600 Barr Colonists settled the area under Reverend George Exton Lloyd, whose name the city still carries. These days it’s known as much for oil as for its roots, Husky Energy runs a major upgrader and refinery here, and the wider region blends that industry with serious farm country. Bud Miller All Seasons Park, a 200-acre stretch with walking trails, gardens and an amphitheatre, gives the city some green space to match.
We pull in a wide catchment beyond the city itself: Vermilion, Kitscoty, Marshall and Lashburn residents build us into regional trips, and Marwayne, Blackfoot and Paradise Hill round out the wider service area. If you’re passing through on the Yellowhead, we’re an easy stop off the highway.

What Lloydminster Says About Plantlife Lloydminster
We’re sitting at 4.6 stars across more than 140 Google reviews, and honestly, the reviews themselves tell the story best. Scroll through them and one thing keeps coming up: guests calling out how genuinely knowledgeable the team is, alongside kind service and a store that’s kept clean and easy to shop.
And it’s never just one person getting the credit. Different team members show up by name across reviews written months apart, all praised for the same thing: actually listening to what someone needs and pointing them toward the right product instead of just making a sale. Have a look through the Google reviews yourself, we think they speak for themselves.
Why Plantlife Over the Competition
Lloydminster has chain stores and independents on both sides of the border, so the choice really comes down to trust, knowing exactly which province’s rules you’re buying under, and who’s actually behind the counter. The chains lean on apps and discount walls, then leave you with thin staff the second you have a real question.
We’re the independent that won’t make you choose between fair pricing and being looked after. Budtenders who know the shelf, everyday pricing that holds, and a team that treats every visit, first-timer or regular, the same way.
About Plantlife Cannabis
Plantlife is Alberta’s largest independently owned cannabis retailer, more than 40 stores across the province, every one AGLC-licensed. Lloydminster is our eastern Alberta anchor on the Yellowhead, a standalone border-city store distinct from anywhere else in the network. Curated by people who know cannabis, priced for the people who buy it.
